Spintop Red Blanket Flower (Gaillardia spintop ‘Red’) – 1 gallon

The Spintop Red Blanket Flower, or Gaillardia aristata, is a stunning perennial that brings a burst of fiery red color to your garden, making it a favorite for those looking to create a lively and inviting outdoor space. Belonging to the Asteraceae family, this plant is native to the prairies of North America, where it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil.

Characterized by its daisy-like blooms with vibrant red petals and a contrasting yellow center, the Spintop Red Blanket Flower grows to a compact height of 12-18 inches. This makes it perfect for both garden beds and container arrangements. Its long blooming season, from early summer through fall, ensures your garden remains colorful and inviting for months.

Caring for the Spintop Red Blanket Flower is delightfully simple. It is drought-tolerant once established, requiring only occasional watering, and its preference for poorer soils means less time spent on fertilizing. This makes it an excellent choice for busy individuals or those new to gardening.

Beyond its beauty, the Spintop Red Blanket Flower is a magnet for pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies, which helps support your local ecosystem. Its resilience and low maintenance needs solve the problem of having to constantly tend to your garden, allowing you more time to enjoy its beauty. Whether you’re enhancing a patio, balcony, or backyard, this plant promises to deliver both aesthetic appeal and ecological benefits.
