Prairie Winds® ‘Cheyenne Sky’ Red Switch Grass (Panicum virgatum ‘Cheyenne Sky’) – 3 gallon

If you’re looking for bold color, movement, and effortless beauty, Prairie Winds® ‘Cheyenne Sky’ Red Switch Grass is the perfect choice! This stunning native ornamental grass emerges blue-green in spring before transforming into rich wine-red by early summer—long before other grasses even start their seasonal shift. As summer fades, it produces delicate purple flower panicles that last well into fall, creating an elegant, airy effect.
Reaching 3 feet tall and 18 inches wide, this upright, non-flopping grass is perfect for borders, containers, mass plantings, and erosion control. It’s also drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and thrives in full sun, making it an easy-care, high-impact choice for any garden.
