Braeburn Apple (Malus ‘Fruit Braeburn’) – 2 gallon 36″

Find out why Braeburn apples are so popular around the world! This New Zealand hit has the perfect mix of sweet and sour flavors, and the bite is so crisp and juicy that it makes your mouth explode with flavor. Beautiful two-colored apples have red stripes on yellow-green skin and ripen in October, making for a lot of late-season harvests. The best thing? You can enjoy fresh, crisp Braeburn apples for months after picking them. They taste better after picking and store well until January. Braeburn trees can grow to be 12 to 15 feet tall on standard rootstock (smaller on dwarf rootstock). They can pollinate themselves, but they make even bigger crops when there is another apple tree nearby. The tree is a reliable, heavy cropper even when it’s young. In the spring, it covers itself in fragrant flowers before making its tasty fruit. Braeburn’s firm texture makes it great for eating raw, baking, cooking, or making applesauce. This is your ticket to homegrown apples that are as good as those at the store! It grows well in zones 5–8.
