Gala Apple (Malus ‘Fruit Gala’) – 2 gallon 36″

Gala is one of the world’s most popular apple varieties, renowned for its mild sweetness, crisp texture, and distinctive red-orange striping over yellow skin. Originating from New Zealand, this versatile cultivar thrives in Zones 5-8 with excellent adaptability to various climates. Trees reach 12-15 feet and produce medium-sized fruit perfect for fresh eating, snacking, and light baking. Harvest begins in late August through September, offering early-season market advantage. Gala requires cross-pollination with varieties like Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith. The aromatic, mildly sweet flavor appeals to children and adults alike, while the thin skin and fine-grained flesh provide superior eating quality. Consistent production, strong consumer recognition, and reliable performance make Gala a cornerstone variety for commercial orchards and home gardens.
