Purple Pillar® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus ‘Purple Pillar’) – QT

Short on space? Purple Pillar® Rose of Sharon has you covered. Literally. This narrow-growing hibiscus brings lush purple blooms from summer through fall—but instead of sprawling, it grows tall and tight, perfect for privacy screens, patio containers, and narrow garden beds.
At maturity, it reaches 10–16 feet tall and just 4–5 feet wide, so you can tuck it beside your porch, fence, or even use it to flank an entryway. And it’s not just about looks—Purple Pillar® attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, shrugs off drought, and doesn’t appeal to deer. With its columnar shape and long bloom time, it adds height and color without the bulk.
