Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea) – 3 gallon

The Scarlet Oak is a remarkable option if you’re searching for a stately tree that consistently produces striking beauty. A real show-stopper in any yard, this native American oak is renowned for its fiery red fall foliage. Its glossy, deep-green leaves offer thick shade in the spring and summer, but in the fall, the tree turns into a scarlet beacon that can be seen from all over the neighborhood.
With a mature height of 60 to 80 feet and a spread of 40 to 50 feet, this tree is perfect for expansive yards, open landscapes, or as a legacy tree that will be valued for many years to come. Once established, it requires little care, can withstand dry spells, and thrives in sandy or poor soils, particularly those that are slightly acidic.
